Reservoir Re-Chlorination Building

The Challenge

Lithgow City Council had a redundant reservoir tank that had been decommissioned in the late 1980’s due to the construction of a new larger tank adjacent to the site. With the continuation of the severe drought in the immediate regions and the continuing development and demand from the Lithgow Township, Lithgow Council took the decision to refurbish the old tank as additional buffer storage capacity. This required the additional of a building where re-chlorination could occur as required 

Our Solution

Solve Civil worked with the Head Contractor and Lithgow Council engineers to provide a building with the optimum size and materials specification

Earth bank cut, fill & compact

Retaining wall with engaged posts and concrete sleeper

infill panels 

Engineered concrete slab 

Insulated sandwich panels with snow loading to roof 

Power supply for chlorination equipment 

Lighting Double access doors & side personnel door 

Concrete loading apron
