Oberon Multi-Residential – Installation Of Stormwater Diversion Chanel Using Concrete Sleeper Retaining Wall
The Challenge
These 6 x strata units were built in the mid 1980’s on undulating ground and near to the bottom of a natural drainage culvert.
Our Solution
Solve Civil was contacted to assist with a solution that was designed to channel water from a storm event around the bottom 2 residential units and out to the street. The walls were constructed around 2 stormwater surge grates where water could discharge and run through the channel formed by 2 walls 2500mm apart with a 3% fall to the road drainage system. The retaining wall system selected was smooth finish Canberra Concrete charcoal sleepers with galvanised steel I beams. The retaining wall system selected was smooth finish Canberra Concrete charcoal sleepers with galvanised steel I beams.
