Arcadia Horse Dressage Arena – New Major Concrete Sleeper Retaining Wall Construction
Located in the well-known equestrian district of Arcadia, the client was constructing an Olympic Standard Equine Dressage Arena as part of a new stables development.
Due to existing landforms, the Arena was needed to be set down below natural ground level requiring retaining walls to 3 sides of the facility. As the facility would be used in public and private events, the walls needed to be both solid and aesthetic.
Concrete sleepers & galvanised beams were selected by the client as the most suitable system for the application. A total of 650 sleepers and 110 I Beams were installed as the job progressed over a 4 week period.
