Building Repairs – Gordon Remediation – Corroding Structural Seel
Privately owned building in Gordon built in the 80’s was experiencing extreme corroding on the structural steel supporting a concrete deck.
Due to the extent of the corrosion, there was a significant risk to the structural integrity of the deck, with the possibility of a catastrophic failure. Repairs were difficult due to the sloping topography of the ground level under the deck
- Fully scaffold area for safe access
- Cut out and replace rusting I Beams,
- Plate and strengthen various areas
- Replace steel edge beams and stringers
- Sandblast/wire brush complete structure and repaint with zinc rich paint
- All works were fully engineered and inspected by a Structural Engineer
